Uganda: Shalom School and Ministry Centre
We are excited to share the Staff Accommodation building is finished! 8 rooms done just in time to enable the school to become residential for our Candidate students preparing for exams this spring. Without your help this group of students would have missed a year’s education.
Critical need! The old two-room latrine collapsed inside, undermined by heavy rains rushing down the hillside. A new substantial 8 room toilet block is needed to replace it for the 250 students plus staff. The plans include reinforcing steel bars wired into the brick building.
We only need $850 more toward the total of $2350. Would you help us hit this target? Just imagine the difference this will make!
Thank you so much for considering pouring into the precious children and families in the Rakai District, Kyotera Uganda.
Much love Gary & Penny
Gary & Penny Seithel have been teaching in a School of Ministry in Uganda for several years now. Gary has known Pastor Ben Tumwebaze who leads the School of Ministry in West Uganda for the past five years. Pastor Ben is currently building a children’s school and ministry centre called the ‘Shalom Child Care Project’. Their vision is to “raise, train and develop Christian leaders from childhood for peaceful, God- fearing and transformed future generations in our society. Proverbs 22:6”
In an area devastated by HIV Aids, their centre has been providing nutritious food, education, counseling and support for child headed households. As this new generation grows with Godly instruction, proper nutrition and medical care, this area will be rebuilt on a solid foundation.
