HOW OC ADDRESSES TRAINING

The Overseas Council ministry focuses on formal and non-formal types of training, especially by partnering with seminaries globally. Our team of OC Regional Directors strengthens existing programs and fosters innovation to bring theological education to those outside the reach of present programs.

1 REGIONAL DIRECTORS

Our Regional Directors are men and women recognized regionally and globally for their expertise and experience in both the Church and in the academic world. Through their relationships and networks, they know the most pressing training needs and opportunities to equip current and future church leaders in their regions. As advisors and educators, they serve seminaries and churches in their regions to strengthen seminary leaders and faculties, facilitate partnerships and foster innovation.

2 INSTITUTES FOR EXCELLENCE

The Institutes for Excellence is a continuing education program for seminary leaders and educators. Each year thousands of school leaders and faculty members from hundreds of schools around the world are equipped through the Institutes. Our Regional Directors convene regional and global experts on specific subjects of value to the participants in their region. Recent Institutes have addressed subjects such as online learning, spiritual formation and local fundraising.

3 SCHOLARSHIPS

The cost of training is often an obstacle that makes training inaccessible for both existing and future ministry leaders. In response, the Overseas Council ministry provides student scholarships each year. To maximize impact, Regional Directors identify and allocate scholarships to schools that are best positioned to confront the Global Leadership Challenge in their region.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTNERSHIP, WE COULDN'T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU.
