Located in the 10/40 window, Bangkok is an unreached metropolis with less than 1% Evangelical Christians. The Thai church is in an exciting time of growth but is still an extremely small minority. As the local church grows, cross-cultural workers can encourage them & empower their efforts to reach the city & beyond. There’s critical need for the support and encouragement of leaders within the church, as well as deep discipleship and equipping of believers in reaching out with the good news.
As part of the summer program, experience life as a cross-cultural worker immersed in a new culture, be mentored by experienced teammates, prayer walk the city & learn introductory language to connect with locals. You’ll leave Southeast Asia with a greater understanding of how God is moving in this part of the world and what contextualization of the gospel looks like in an unreached place.

Vision: To strengthen Thai ministries we partner with so they’re sustainable & flourishing while also engaging UPGs in neighboring regions through regular prayer & vision trips.
About The Program
What You’ll Experience:
- Learning culture, language and prayer walking in an unreached, Southeast Asian context
- Serve in local ministries
- Participate in Avance trainings and fellowship
- Learn how to use your skills & giftings to glorify God
- Growing spiritually through team rhythms
Housing/Transportation:
Depending on the number of summer participants, you’ll likely be living with other Avancistas or a ministry partner host family. You will live close to team leads. The skytrain and bus system in the city make it easy to get around (the team will show you how!)

Language Learning:
Summer participants will spend some time learning the Thai language. English is somewhat spoken in this area.
Training:
Orientation upon landing and support from team leads in settling in the first few days. Weekly rhythms with the team include meetings with rotational topics of spiritual growth, ministry principles, and prayer/planning, as well as fun team rhythms including meals together and travels.

$2,900 + airfare (includes visa, housing, in-country transport & meals)
