Refugee Community Worker – Portland, OR

The Portland HUB team exists to reach unreached refugee and immigrant people groups as well as equip and mobilize local churches to do the same. The team actively engages in community outreach through a strategically placed friendship center in a large refugee area of Portland. The center offers ESL, citizenship classes and other services that help meet the needs of refugee and immigrant friends as they begin to acclimate into American culture. The end goal is to share Jesus stories with refugee friends and to live among them in apartment communities to see church planting movements happen among these people groups in Portland.

As a team member you will develop a heart for the unreached, serve at the friendship center, and live among refugee communities. You will also take part in sharing Jesus stories with individuals and families and build loving relationships with a vision to see churches started.
