Professor at Biblical Seminary of Colombia

The Biblical Seminary of Colombia is a university-level theological institution that is accredited by the Colombian Ministry of Education. This school celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2019. We offer a Bachelor’s Degree in theology in both residence and distance formats. We are an interdenominational, evangelical seminary. Our faculty includes professors of various nationalities and theological traditions. Our graduates serve mainly within Colombia, the majority of them in pastoral ministry across a range of denominations. We also offer robust non-formal education via our Extension Department.

The professor will contribute at Bachelor’s and graduate levels, in classroom and online settings, and in teaching, research, and extension. He or she will engage with the holistic shaping of the student within the Colombian context. The professor will actively participate in the social and spiritual life the seminary community.

A full-time professor at the Biblical Seminary of Colombia teaches an average of 11 to 14 credit hours (3-4 classes per semester). The professor is responsible for class preparation and delivery as well as student evaluation. In addition, the professor normally develops and supports the formation of the student in connection with his or her particular research interests. A percentage of the professor’s assigned responsibilities are assigned to non-formal instruction.

In addition to his or her responsibilities in teaching, research, and non-formal education, it is expected that the professor will attain competency in the Spanish language and develop fruitful relationships in the seminary community and the church.

It is also anticipated that the professor will embrace the seminary’s statement of faith and internal policies.
