Teachers for 2022/2023

United World Mission established Dakar Academy in 1961 as a college preparatory, co-educational boarding, and day school program. Today, Dakar Academy has approximately 200 students in its academic program, with around 40 students in boarding. The school is located on a six-acre campus in a quiet, residential area of Dakar, the capital city of Senegal. The teachers and staff make a difference by providing quality education to missionary kids, which allows these families to remain on the field in largely unreached areas of the surrounding nations.

At Dakar Academy, qualified teachers invest their time and talents to design engaging lessons that bring content to life. We are looking for an experienced teacher to plan, organize and implement an approved curriculum. Our ideal candidate will utilize differentiated instruction and varied teaching techniques to create an environment of student-centered learning that follows a North American curriculum. They should be passionate about the subject they teach, their students, and their job. The goal: for students to understand—not only know—what they are being taught, as they set their feet on the path to lifelong learning.
