Jacob Paul
We live and work in Armenia, Quindio Colombia with our son Oliver. I, Jacob, am a Colombian at heart, but a Canadian by birth who came to Armenia in 2009 to work with a local foundation called ZonaJ . I met Leidy in 2011 and we married 2 years later. We are involved in various projects with ZonaJ including Vida 4D (a leadership program focused around becoming an integral Christian leader), El Nido (a local crisis teen pregnancy centre), which we founded in 2016 and planted a church (Reunion Colombia) in 2021. Leidy is the executive director at El Nido, which runs a program for teen girls twice a week. The program runs for 2 years and focuses on forming a bond between mother and child. The focus of El Nido (which means the nest) is to develop a safe haven for these girls that come from various situations of abuse, neglect, insecurity, and hopelessness. I am an associate pastor at our church plant where we love and serve our local community.
Prayer Requests:
- For the staff of El Nido to form bonds with the young mothers so that they will know Jesus’ love for them.
- For wisdom as our church plant grows.
- For the resources to pay off the building for El Nido and support the program.
