As I prepare to head to Mexico City to do holistic ministry work, I am reminded that we serve a God who heals and who actively cares for His “garden” of creation. It is to the work of healing found in Isaiah 58:6-8 that God has called me. While in Mexico City, I will be working with local community organizations through the Avance Mexico program of United World Mission. While serving in a local church under Mexican leadership and living with a host family, I will be working with ministry partners who engage in community advocacy work and collaboratively develop linguistically-relevant materials in indigenous communities.

Prayer Requests:

• That God would bring healing to the southern states of Mexico affected by Hurricane Agatha.
• That God’s presence would fill and continue to lead the organizations that I will be working with in Mexico City & that the Church in Mexico City would continue to radiate the light of the Gospel.
• God’s provision as I develop ministry partnerships and prepare to head to Mexico City in September.
