Europe was once the geographical center of the Christian faith. Now, the Church lives on the margins of a secular society. It has lost its place at the table of culture-shaping conversation.

But God cannot be marginalized. We are rolling up our sleeves with European Christians, seeking to love Europeans back to God! The Spirit of God is moving on people’s hearts, bringing hope, new life, and true community through the Gospel.

We are at work in these European countries:

Belgian Church 2Belgium attracts a wide array of international politicians and businessmen, but also a large number of African and Middle Eastern immigrants. The Evangelical Church has been growing among the immigrant populations, but ethnic Belgians have been slow to respond to the Gospel.

We work alongside local churches and ministries to reach Belgians and internationals through relational church communities and service outreach projects.

Czech Republic

czechDespite its Christian heritage, most Czechs today are unaware of their country’s Christian legacy and view the Church with skepticism. The small evangelical community is seeking creative ways to reach Czechs and draw them into a deep, mature relationship with God.

We serve with local churches to strengthen leadership development and discipleship as well as to establish relationships with nonbelievers through creative outreach programs.

EnglandSecularism and Islam are growing in England, while Christianity is on the decline. The Church is praying for a spiritual revival of the whole nation to bring it back to its faith in Christ.

We work with local believers in the areas of outreach and evangelism to recapture this nation’s heart for Jesus.

FranceToday 80% of French people have never seen a Bible. Evangelical churches are faithful but few, and many struggle to connect with younger generations. A small number of French believers are seeking to reach their nation by building dynamic, local churches.

We partner with local churches to build culturally relevant, relational communities where the French people can know and grow in Christ.

GermanyGermany is an economic and intellectual powerhouse, but spiritually poor. The Church is striving to rekindle a passion for the Lord and to reach the influx of immigrants with the Gospel.

We partner with local churches, a seminary, and a German mission agency to evangelize, disciple, and establish churches among Germans and the immigrant population.

Less than 3% of Greeks regularly attend church. The recent economic collapse has created instability, discouragement, and strife. Greek evangelicals are seeking to witness for Christ through church-planting and ministries of mercy and compassion.

We work alongside Greek Christians in the areas of outreach, leadership development, and holistic ministry, especially in the area of anti-trafficking.

Hungary Danube youth prayerAfter the fall of the Communist bloc in the early 1990s, Hungary became very open to the gospel. Unfortunately, that door has closed. There is a need to strengthen existing churches for witness and new forms of church, so that Hungarians can see the Gospel lived out in community.

We partner with an international Christian school, local churches, and outreach ministries such as Alpha to develop leaders and disciples.

Ireland has a rich history of Christianity stretching back to St. Patrick’s missionary work in the 5th century. The Church has been in a decline over recent decades due to political tension, economic hardship, and rising secularism, but it is ripe for revival.

We serve alongside Irish churches in the areas of leadership development, discipleship, and outreach.

Italy is nominally Roman Catholic, but many Italians are secular or attracted by New Age philosophies and cults. The Evangelical church is small but zealous to train new leaders to reach the least and lost.

We come alongside local churches in Italy to build relationships with nonbelievers and develop strong, culturally relevant forms of leadership training and outreach.

While Catholicism has a rich history in Poland, many Poles today only claim a nominal faith, and Evangelicals number less than 1% of the population. Despite their small numbers, Polish Christians are dedicated to evangelistic and church planting endeavors, but need help and support to share the gospel and grow strong churches full of committed disciples.

We partner with local believers and pastors to help share the gospel, plant churches, and develop disciples.

In the 1990s, Romania experienced significant church growth, but it has considerably slowed. The Romanian church is combating the spiritual and materialistic effects of the Communist worldview, and trying to be authentic and relevant to the younger generations.

We serve with Romanian believers focusing on church-planting, and various forms of holistic outreach, especially with children at-risk.

russiaRussia has only a 1% evangelical population and over 78 unreached ethnic minorities. Despite varying levels of persecution, the Russian Church is seeking to equip Christian leaders and form churches that provide the hope and joy of the Gospel to the Russian people.

We partner with local businesses and outreach ministries to build relationships with Russians and plant churches.

Scotland wrestles with poor economic, education, and health systems combined with numerous social ills. The Church hungers for a spiritual revival to breathe a fresh, new spiritual life into this nation.

We work with local medical practitioners and dental professionals in partnership with a medical student outreach program to strengthen churches and their discipleship of professionals in Scotland.

SpainThe Catholic Church lost its religious monopoly with the fall of Franco’s dictatorship in the late 1970s, opening doors to growing evangelical influences. Evangelical churches tend to be small but highly committed to Christ and to evangelism.

We partner with a Spain-based sending agency that mobilizes Latins to the Muslim world, focusing on planting churches and discipling believers.

We’ve launched Avance España.  Is God igniting a passion in you for serving in Spain?  Join our immersion program and…

  • Partner with local ministries in outreach
  • Experience the historic and current Muslim influences in Spain
  • Experience the history of the Roman Catholic church and Protestantism
  • Develop a vision for the future of the Evangelical youth in Spain

SloveniaSlovenia’s Christian heritage has given way to spiritual apathy and forms of New Age and Eastern religions. Evangelicals number less than 1% of the population, and division and lack of outreach vision mark the few evangelical churches. There are wonderful signs of increased unity and vision among Slovene leaders!

We partner with local churches in Slovenia to mobilize for contextualized forms of outreach and church-planting.

Sweden has fully embraced the philosophies of socialism and secular humanism. The government provides nearly anything a Swede could wish for, and the Church is ridiculed for antiquated beliefs. Still God is stirring Swedes’ hearts to long for something more.

We serve with local churches in Sweden to plant churches and make disciples that are able to witness in every area of life.
