Central America: 2020 Hurricane Relief
United World Mission of Charlotte, NC is mounting an effort to aid in the recovery of the hurricane ravaged ministries and churches of Honduras, Guatemala and Central America as a whole. Through its national partners, UWM is seeking individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations to assist in the recovery and re-establishment of national ministries and those they care for who have been effected by Hurricane Eta (1st week of November, 2020) and now Category 5 “Hurricane Iota” that made landfall on Tue. 11/17. To date we’ve received requests from multiple partner ministries that have had churches, outreach centers and care facilities flooded and filled with mud, as well as entire populations they care for covered in mud slides resulting in hundreds of deaths.
