An earthquake of 7.1 magnitude struck Mexico City on September 19th. There is much destruction throughout the city. The earthquake shook the city rather severely and many buildings have collapsed. A standstill was created that afternoon and many people had to walk long distances to be reunited with their families. Some have lost their lives and it is likely that the death toll will rise.
As rescue and relief efforts are underway, United World Mission is working alongside of our local our local partners and staff. We will focus on bringing much needed relief to the devastated families and homes in Mexico City.
Pray with us that any aftershocks will be light. Pray with us that the church will respond in this moment of crisis and that the love of Jesus will be demonstrated in these difficult moments.
