In order to continue to operate La Cumbre Christian Adventure Camp in Costa Rica with excellence and meet the diverse needs of a growing number of guests, several infrastructure projects should be completed as soon as possible.

1. Additional Bathrooms: While our existing La Cumbre facilities are handicap accessible, we lack bathrooms near the outside activity area, creating challenges for those with physical disabilities. Separate handicap accessible bathrooms for men and women would be located near the climbing gym. Cost $17,000.

2. Fire Escapes for Second Floor Dormitories: Although the current Lodge meets all building code requirements for emergency fire exits, we believe it would be best to install exterior fire escape staircases for our two second floor dormitories (men and women). Cost $14,000.

3. New Team Building Adventure Activity: To accommodate a growing number of larger groups, La Cumbre would benefit greatly from one additional program activity designed to encourage team cooperation. A new activity, “No Me Sueltes”, (Don’t Let Go of Me), has been developed based on successful application and use at other adventure camps. Cost $19,000.

Total funding required for the three infrastructure projects is $50,000.
