Missionaries
Michael & Sharon Cortimilia
We will be serving with East Mountain in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Michael grew up in Senegal, West Africa where his parents were missionaries for 17 years. Sharon was born in Hong Kong and raised in Canada. By God’s grace, we met at the World Missions Center on Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary’s campus in Fort Worth, Texas. We have one son, Levi.
We are excited to be joining the community at East Mountain and serve alongside others who are passionate about holistic discipleship and equipping young adults for global missional impact. East Mountain develops young adults primarily through a yearlong residency program and shorter-term internship program. We will be joining a team that not only desires to develop young leaders with excellent theological training but also spiritual formation and community impact.
Prayer Requests:
- Pray for our transition back to Texas into a new season of full time support raising. Pray for Levi as he transitions into a new schedule.
- Pray that God will open the doors for financial partnership with churches we have already started the conversation with.
- Pray that God will give us appointments and meetings with those whom He has already been directing to invest financially in missions and are ready to partner with us in ministry.
