| I am being sent through UWM to serve with partnering organization Go To Every Nation (GoTEN). I serve on GoTEN’s Phoenix Refugee Team, whose goal is to welcome and show God’s love to refugees here in the United States. Since 1980, Arizona has resettled over 90,000 refugees from countries such as Iraq, Syria, Myanmar, and Afghanistan, and many of them live right in my surrounding area! My team and I care for our refugee friends and neighbors by providing them with life skills classes, English classes, and other services. God has given me a huge love for my Muslim neighbors and because of His love for me, I can’t help but want to show them the same love that I have experienced. |

Prayer Requests:
- Pray for my refugee students and friends to experience healing from their trauma, an end to their peoples’ persecution, and justice and provision for their families in their home countries and refugee camps across the world.
- Pray for my team to be protected from burnout as we desire to meet the needs of those around us. May our work always be rooted in God’s love and care for us.
- Pray for refugees in Arizona to experience God’s love for them in really special ways through our team.
