I am serving with East Mountain in South Africa. In the summer of 2016, I participated in a 6-week internship with East Mountain in South Africa. I was a graduate student at Wheaton College in the Christian Formation and Ministries program where I was learning how to help others grow in Christian maturity. Having sensed a call to missions since childhood, I was looking for a summer internship that would allow me to continue learning in a cross-cultural ministry setting. Little did I know that God would call me to continue my partnership with East Mountain after graduation!
East Mountain is a community of Christ-followers that is dedicated to developing young leaders to love and serve God in their local communities. Through a variety of teaching experiences, leaders are equipped in the areas of biblical theology, spiritual formation, and practical leadership. My role will be mentoring young people, partnering with a local ministry, and living intentionally as an East Mountain community member.
- To grow in loving obedience to God as I follow His call on my life, trusting in His plan and provision.
- To grow in wisdom as I learn to love and serve in an intercultural context.
- To be a faithful witness to the love of Christ in community and ministry.
