I sensed the call to serve God as a missionary in a Latin country during her teenage years. I graduated from college with a teaching degree and taught at a private, multi-cultural school in Philadelphia. Later, God opened a door for me to teach in a public school in Kennett Square, Pa. among the large Latin population in this city.
In January 1994 she joined the Latin America Mission and began serving in Mexico.
I have worked for many years in Chalco Valley, a needy area south of Mexico City. I ran a library and tutoring program, organized Vacation Bible Schools, held a Saturday Bible Club and worked with a local church training Christian leaders and teachers.
In 2012 I was invited to live and minister in the city of Tuxpan, Veracruz on the Gulf Coast of Mexico. I am developing a training program for children and adults called “Children’s Evangelism in Depth, Mexico.” (EFIM, for it’s letters in Spanish) The goal of the ministry is to evangelize Mexican children by mobilizing Christian children. The mobilization occurs by offering training workshops to children and adults in local churches in the use of creative arts such as; puppets, narrating and acting out Bible stories, and clowns. I also offers teacher training and creative evangelism courses.
In January of 2014 Latin America Mission (LAM) merged with United Mission (UWM) strengthening both organizations and expanding the Gospel work throughout the world.
- Praise God for my many years of service in Mexico.
- Pray that Mexican children and adults will catch the vision and be active in sharing the Gospel with others.
- Pray for God’s peace in Mexico and that He will draw many to His saving love.
