About Colombia & the Role

A city of 2,569,000 surrounded by the Andean mountains, Medellin receives the second highest number of displaced persons. Displaced persons endure armed conflict, poverty, hunger, human rights violations, and narrow escapes from humanitarian crises in their country. Each day, around 200 women arrive to the center of the city in search of better opportunities. What they find? A lack of education, high unemployment rates, insecurity, gangs, drugs, prostitution that leads to them ending up on the streets. With God’s help, it is possible to transform their reality.

As a Women-at-Risk Worker in Colombia, help train these women valuable skills (i.e. sewing) alongside holistic ministry that with the goal of transforming their lives psychologically, physically, and spiritually, through the work of Christ. Contribute to their long-term sustainability by helping with job matching in the local fashion industry.

Join the adventure and help this ministry in Colombia grow to new heights! After learning under vetted leaders, become a catalyst for new projects that will contribute to the women’s sustainability and wellbeing such as developing a trusted daycare to take care of the children of the women in our ministry while they are learning or working, providing proper mental care for the women, building our own building that will ensure the safety of the cohorts and designing a more compelling communication strategy to spread the word about the mission and what God is doing through the program.
