Seminary Professor

SETECA (Seminario Teológico Centroamericano) is an international, interdenominational seminary that has served the Spanish-speaking evangelical community for nearly a century. Our student body hails from some twenty-five countries. SETECA graduates serve in more than thirty countries around the world. We are a conservative yet broadly evangelical institution, serving a diverse student body and constituency that includes Pentecostals and non-Pentecostals, Calvinists and Arminians, and Dispensationalists and Covenant Theologians, among others. Although our doctrinal statement reflects classic Dispensational emphases, a newer and complementary statement of theology identifies the essential doctrines that serve as our basis of unity as well as secondary issues on which we can agree to disagree as we learn together. These secondary issues reflect the diversity of our theological community and the churches we serve.

We are currently looking for full-time professors with the following qualifications in various areas of biblical studies, theology, church history, and related fields:

  • Irrefutable testimony
  • Ministerial experience

  • Academic credentials superior to the levels he or she will teach (preferably a Master’s or Doctorate)
  • Agreement with the Vision, Mission, and Doctrinal Statement / Statement of Theological Identity of SETECA
  • Fluency in Spanish, current or aspirational
  • Cultural proficiency
