ESL Refugee Learning Center Worker (Colorado Springs, CO)

For 65 years United World Mission has been sending missionaries to the unreached all around the world and over the last five years we have been building missionary teams to reach the unreached and unengaged refugees right here in North America. With more than 150 unreached peoples the harvest fields are plentiful for passionate individuals and churches.

Colorado Springs has been receiving refugees since 1975, initially from Vietnam, but now from many other locations around the world. We are assisting and building relationships with those from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Turkey, and many other nations. Many of these people have little or no knowledge of who Jesus is, and some have never heard.

As a refugee worker you will have a passion for living among refugees and unreached people groups, sharing Jesus stories with them, building lasting relationships, and meeting their physical and spiritual needs. You will need a heart for ministry, a vision to work on a team of others, a learning attitude, and the desire to be part of seeing churches started in refugee and UPG communities. Your training will include helping refugees and those from another culture use Rosetta Stone to learn/improve their English skills.
