Camp Program Manager

Campamento Río Naranjo is an old camping facility that is getting an enormous face-lift. This is a ministry of the AIBC (Asociacion de Iglesias Biblicas Costarricenses) in partnership with United World Mission. The goal of this ministry is to bless the 200+ churches of the AIBC by 1) giving them evangelistic opportunities through camp programming, events and retreats; 2) Providing free seminary education for all of the AIBC pastors (80% have no formal training); 3) Providing pastors with free discipleship program that equips them to raise new leaders, pastors, and missionaries from their own communities. The camp is currently fund-raising to develop the facility, which will financially sustain the ministry efforts of the AIBC for years to come. The property is approximately 45 acres alongside 2 volcanoes in the province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

As the Program Manager, you will be an integral part of the ministry going forward. The goal of this position is to create evangelistic and discipleship events to recruit churches (both AIBC and others), para-church organizations, and even businesses to the camp for various activities and events. This will provide income for scholarship opportunities for the AIBC churches and families that cannot afford the opportunity. Responsibilities will include: creating new programs and organizing events in alignment with camp vision and mission, coordinating and receiving short-term teams, assisting the camp in fundraising, and hiring and managing a special events staff.

Qualifications for this position include: A mature believer with a strong walk with the Lord, humble and teachable spirit, bilingual in English and Spanish or willing to learn Spanish, enjoys physical activities (sports, hiking, swimming), loves nature, a good sense of humor, a heart for kids and families, minimum 2-3 years camp program experience.
