Avance Curriculum Coordinator in Southern Spain
Position Description:
The Avance España Curriculum Coordinator is primarily responsible for helping the development and delivery of program curriculum in the formation of apprentices in service to local ministry partners. The Curriculum Coordinator works closely with the Director to keep current and update curriculum based on the basic outcomes of the program in a highly adaptive, flexible, and overly fluid dynamic. The Curriculum Coordinator also collaborates with the optional M.A. program in partnership with Kairos University.
Ministry Description:
Avance España is a 1-2 year missional formation program that includes practice, learning communities, and one-to-one mentoring. We value immersive living and serving under local leaders, incarnational presence, and contextually relevant innovation alongside our friends and ministry partners. Our formational process not only gives apprentices competencies in cross-cultural, community-based mission, but also comes alongside to encourage, support, and spur on local ministry partners to serve missionally in their neighborhoods and cities. Staff serve as experienced co-learners who continually engage alongside our national partners as well.
*Avance España also offers an optional master’s degree in community-based cross-cultural mission through a partnership with Kairos University.
In Avance’s 50 plus years of service, over 3,000 young adults have served with Avance from the summer to two years, with many committing to longer-term missional service in Mexico, Latin America, Spain and around the world. We have seen the church built up and workers mobilized locally and internationally, including Latin Americans inspired to serve cross-culturally.
