Assistant Outreach Intern – Miami, FL

Glory House of Miami is a Christ-centered organization that provides a safe space for the healing and restoration of survivors of human trafficking. At Glory House, you will be an integral member of the work that God is doing.

Glory House seeks an intern who is interested in volunteering their time in exchange for experience and potential employment. This position, with the successful candidate will be accountable for assisting the Outreach Team Leader. The Assistant Outreach Intern duties include helping the Outreach Team Leader with planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating actions required to have successful street and text outreach outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Have a strong management, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions by researching, reviewing, and analyzing documentation
  • People Management Skills
  • Proficient computer/technology skills
  • Strong communication skills in English, fluency in Spanish preferred
  • Must have a valid in-state driver’s license, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
  • Be a team player by maintaining a positive attitude and promote unity and peace within the team
  • Must be willing and able to receive constructive feedback and make the necessary adjustments
  • Must complete all Glory House required training upon hire (provided by Glory House)
  • Commit to living a life of purity, set apart for God

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities apply to street and text outreach where appropriate

  • Assist in implementing street and text outreach protocols
  • Responsible for maintaining outreach calendar
  • Responsible in maintaining the flow of communication between outreach team leader and volunteers
  • Attends all outreach internal staff meetings preferably in person
  • Attends street outreach as necessary
  • Attends text outreach as necessary
  • Communicate ideas and helps with implementation of solutions

Education:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Personal or Volunteer experience with anti-human trafficking effort preferred
