Anti Human Trafficking Internship – Miami, FL

UWM’s partner ministry, Glory House of Miami is a Christ centered safe house for survivors of human sex trafficking as well as a drop in center in the heart of Miami’s trafficking epicenter. As an organization, they help women who have been trafficked, as well as provide resources and information to local businesses, churches and individuals to help fight the human trafficking pandemic.

As an intern, over the course of 2-4 months you will participate in Biblical based studies and in-depth training in the area of human sex trafficking, assist UWM missionaries and Glory House staff in their daily ministry activities, learn about the needs of, and working with survivors of human sex trafficking, participate in hands-on outreach to local businesses, churches, trafficked victims, and more. You will leave with a solid understanding of how to engage survivors of human trafficking, how to help their holistic needs, and how to train others to be advocates for ending this pattern of abuse in our country and around the world.

Participants need to have a heart and passion for working with victims of human trafficking, a learning attitude, willingness to be part of a team and follow directions, good social skills, and a desire to meet the spiritual and physical needs of victims of human trafficking. A solid, Christ based faith, a teachable heart and a willingness to grow are absolute requirements.
