Thankfulness

  • November 2019

A few weeks ago, I started asking my coworkers what they were thankful for in preparation of the holiday season. Their responses made me smile; from both their creativity as well as the similarity between them. Here are a few of my favorites, as written by the office staff of United World Mission:

  1. I’m thankful for butternut squash.
  2. I’m thankful for good health and good sleep.
  3. I’m thankful for my dog.
  4. I’m thankful for coffee.
  5. I’m thankful for Amazon prime.

What that list (and more) reminded me, is that gratitude doesn’t always have to surround only the big things in our lives. Thankfulness in the smallest of details will increase our thankfulness in the bigger ones. By and large, the most similar thing my coworkers were thankful for was this: a Lord who sees us, loves us, and allows us to be a part of what He is doing in the world.

What a joy it is to be a part of His mission for the world. We couldn’t do any of this without you. Thank YOU for your faithful prayers, love, and support of United World Mission.
