Partnering with East Mountain is a highlight of the ministry year for our Hope Church Praxis residents. Our Praxis residents are young leaders exploring their long-term calling to the church. The leadership at East Mountain provides us the space and experiences to cultivate relationships with each other, a deeper understanding of God’s work in the world, and great connections with like-minded leaders throughout the world.

Praxis is a ten-month, full-time internship program at Hope Church in Richmond, VA, designed to sharpen and equip each candidate for a career of catalytic ministry in the church. Through meaningful work, one-on-one mentoring, teaching from senior leaders, and personal spiritual formation, Praxis serves as a bridge between a seminary or college education and ministry life.

Throughout the year, we connect with East Mountain via Skype in prep for our trip to South Africa. During the time at East Mountain, the residents are shaped through cross-cultural experiences and ministry as well as spiritual and leadership development from the staff and leaders serving at East Mountain. These relationships and experiences are truly life changing for our leaders as well as for our mission and vision as a church.
