A sewing, handicrafts, and children’s learning center in South Asia exists to help create jobs and increase standard of living for poor girls and women from poor, slum areas. In the sewing center, girls and women create various products for export sales in the U.S.
Do you have management experience and a knowledge of sewing manufacturing and US sales? The sewing center is looking for an interim manager to provide overall supervision for the sewing center and other related centers. The ability to perform quality checks on finished products and knowledge of US consumer trends would be highly useful. Be willing to build relationships with the workers and ask questions while working alongside other local staff. There are great opportunities to love and serve these women by building relationships with them outside of work and visiting them in their homes.
