Leadership Training Intern

One of the most peaceful and safest countries in the world, Sweden prides itself on having one of the highest standards of living. Living in this secular, socialist nation, Swedes lack for little that their government does not provide, and faith plays an increasingly marginalized role in their society. The Church needs strong, biblically-rooted leaders to reach their neighbors with the gospel in a relevant way and create contextualized church planting movements.

Our missionary partner is currently living in a neighborhood called Tensta in Stockholm, Sweden. Tensta, Rinkeby and Hulsta are three neighborhoods in Stockholm that in total are about 3 miles long. About 70,000 people live there and 92% of them are immigrants or refugees. Within those 3 miles, 102 languages are spoken there and there’s only around 100 evangelical believers.

Are you interested in learning how to train the trainers? Come to Sweden and be mentored in leadership development by an experienced missionary. Learn how to make disciple-makers. Be trained in forming ministry teams and developing strategy. Help start new groups focused on unreached and unengaged people groups. This internship will prepare you to establish churches and equip leaders wherever God sends you with the potential to serve long-term in Sweden or elsewhere.

Some of the objectives of serving as an intern in Sweden:

1. Your own spiritual journey – learning various spiritual disciplines and hearing from God
2. Join local work – learn and use tools that Sarah and her Swedish ministry partners will train you in
3. Engage in “simple church” – meet local leaders, see traditional Swedish churches
4. Engage lifestyle evangelism – host events, pray with others, prayer walks, neighborhood surveys to meet people and learn about them
