Tyler & Lindsey Smith
Hello there! We are Tyler and Lindsey Smith! We have been serving in France since December 2016. Though France is renowned for its churches, many of these are empty come Sunday. In fact, only 1.5% of the population are practicing Christians. We live in Melun, which is 25 miles southeast of Paris and is home to about 40,000 people.
We are on staff at Eglise de la Brie, where our focus is youth ministry and small groups. Eglise de la Brie is a local, thoroughly French church with a vision to reach people who don’t like the church but don’t necessarily have a problem with God. While our ministry happens at the church building, it often happens inside our home, where we love to welcome people. Eglise de la Brie has a goal to open multiple church sites in the region, and we hope to be a part of a French team to plant a new church in our city of Melun down the road.
Pray that:
- That we would build meaningful relationships outside the church.
- Please be in prayer for the future expansion of Eglise de la Brie, that it would be in God’s timing and that he would prepare the teams to lead future projects.
- That God would open the hearts of the French people to accept the Good News.
